It’s for the good of the species.
Elise knew better. She was being sold to the highest bidder.
She did everything she could to ensure her mate would be able to provide for her and their future children, but plans have a way of going astray.
Left with the choice between the alpha with everything she wants and the one who treats her like a person, will Elise be happy with her choice or come to regret it?
"this book was so amazing. Leann Ryans books are usually on the lighter side, but this one was a lot darker than normal for her and it was awesome! i loved it."
Triggers and Spoilers:
This book is a little out of the norm for me. My books tend to have dark themes, but I wouldn't call them dark, but this one is, just a bit.
There is SA and r*pe. Neither is committed by the hero. The SA involves a doctor self-pleasuring, and the r*pe is fade to black, but that doesn't diminish the fact that it's there. If these things bother you, please skip this book. These are standalones and you can enjoy the rest of the series without reading this one.
There is also a scene where some people feel the hero cheats. I don't view it this way since it happens right after the couple meet and no relationship has formed between the pair, and the heroine is present when it happens. Instincts rule in omegaverse, and our alpha hero is feeling sexually frustrated, so when Elise asks him to stop, he takes care of that frustration with another woman. Elise is grateful since he listened to her and she has no tie to him yet, but if this would bother you, either skip the scene, or the story.
Thanks for giving my books a chance!
