Penny’s ex refused to accept that it was over between them.
Unwilling to live in fear, she hired an alpha to protect her, but she hadn’t realized it would mean allowing him into her home.
Doubt began to take hold until she discovered her ex was still stalking her. She wasn’t going to let him dictate her life, so she pushed on as usual…
Until she was attacked and dragged into a waiting van.
Ethan was supposed to protect Penny, but he’d failed.
The chair he was tied to wouldn’t stop him, and neither could the laws placed on his dynamic. Her ex wasn’t going to survive long enough to regret his choices, but the drugs he’d given Penny were sending her into heat, and Ethan couldn’t leave her to suffer alone.
How much was he going to pay for breaking laws governing alphas, and would their bond survive?
***This is book 2 of the Hired series but can be read as a standalone. The story is a slow-burn omegaverse romance.***
